Hi bpman, Nice pics and I'm particularly interested in the interior shot above. Seems you routed direct connections to power source for your GPS and mobile, did you have to drill the dash for those? Are they connected to the lighter socket? Also, I positioned my GPS in the middle of the dash like the SVX ones but I find that it obscures the right hand corner view of the truck, positioning it where it is with your truck, does it obscure views? I was thinking of putting my mobile in that spot with a RAM mount or something and was figuring on putting the GPS higher up, maybe just to the left of the rear view mirror. I'd like to reduce the wire clutter and what you did helps though I think I need a bluetooth capable stereo to listen to my music to be truly wireless... I'd like input from you and everyone else on this. Thanks! |

Nope. Grade 10.9 steel bolts for the load bearing bits of towing setups. |

Standard grade 8.8 HT is more than adequate and it what is type approved. No need for 10.9.

Spent the weekend restoring the brake lights. I wish I had a clear pic of them before the fix. I was actually mulling buying a new pair online but decided to see if there's something I can do about them myself.
They were pretty oxidized and felt rough to the touch. It was hardly even see-through anymore. I checked online for tips and found a nice video about how to restore them back to a full shine. Link here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8whjrksd0I. So all you need is 2000 grit sandpaper, rubbing alcohol and clear-coat spray. Results: Click image to enlarge |

^^^ Agreed! That is a very lovely thing indeed! My Dad had a 110 CSW of similar vintage in the same colour. Sadly it was a Turbo Diesel (really not LR's finest hour), but it was still very exciting to a 5 year old me and is probably where the obsession began! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green
