Replaced the handbrake lever warning light switch
Made a mount to take the head unit of the Quad band transceiver. Now mounts off the Mudstuff top dash pod. Added a 2nd volt meter to get the reading on the output side of the split charge relay. Just need to run the cable to relay now. A quick test shows the theory to be correct and the volts are the same as the primary volt meter. Fitted to new to me (well 2nd hand) speakers to replaced the old ones which sounded naff. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Well yesterday must have been around the fourth day in the past seven years where my Defender has not turned a wheel. I had to hang around all damned day waiting for a courier to deliver a brake master cylinder and servo so the old girl will do something when I press the brake pedal!
I ended up enlisting the next door neighbours plasterer to take the parcel when it came so I could go and sort out the boys pony. This entailed digging out my bike out of the garage, why oh why don't I live somewhere flat? Living in a village with Hill in its name has its disadvantages! All that the company that I bought the bits from could say was that the couriers had picked up the package on Wednesday and the couriers say it's on its way. Another day of waiting. |

It took some work this year to get though the MOT but now all complete and with no advisories. Time now to turn to some cosmetic work.
I have winch bumpers front and rear in need of some love. Any idea how much I would be looking at to get them blasted and powder coated? Also what is the paint recommended for the rear cross member? |

Installed a new arm rest, a genuine Adventure limited edition version. Looks and feels great.
Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. Well yesterday really, my long awaited brake master cylinder arrived (thanks to Advanced Factors) after a cock-up from another company who along with their couriers failed to deliver the goods. ParcelForce only took 6 hours to deliver to me 6 miles away but it was on, bled and off on a quick road test within 45 minutes.
I was oh so glad to give back the keys to the kind neighbour who let me borrow his Ford Ranger pick up, and to think I nearly bought one a few years ago, glad we went for a Disco II instead |

Looks like he's nicked the paint that was meant to tidy up that bench for the spring season. |
