isnt that where the rear chassis loom enters the chassis?

Thanks for the response. There is certainly no wiring loom using this hole on my chassis. There are similar holes in both chassis rails.
This morning while cleaning underneath I notice there are two near the rear cross-member as well (one in each chassis rail). These have also allowed a fair amount of mud to get inside the chassis. |

If you wish to cover the holes you could clean around the holes with degreaser then apply duct tape over the holes and wax the whole chassis covering the tape too. I personally would leave the holes open, clean them out, wax inside the chassis and leave them so any water that gets in the chassis can run out again easily. Ray
