I can't help but would be interested in finding out what the fault is once you get it sorted. Cheers,
Kyle. |

Super dim carlights? Seems like a battery issue to me. How old? What about undervoltage?

Tjhappel, your description is somewhat confusing. What do you mean by the driver door immobiliser? Do you mean the door lock actuator (a solenoid)? Would seem apparent that on the way to the rear of the car the power to the door lock actuators gets interupted. The fact that the immobiliser was setting off the alarm suggests that it senses that something had shorted. Did your indy disconnect a wire or bypass something to get things working. My guess is the problem is in the wiring (damaged insulation, something shorting to the body) and not with the solenoid. Ask your indy what he did. Hope this helps. 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |

I had a non starting problem, similar to you. The AS10 terminals were corroded. These were cleaned and all was well. Might not be your problem but you never know!
