Went to fit the dirt defender, the factory chequer plate is thicker as it has foam pads and it also curves underneath the sill... I was going to end up with an obvious gap so I will just neatly trim the plate next. Also gave me a chance to clean all the crap caught under them and replace the rubbish LR fixings.

Finished this off this evening, with the chequer plate off and dirt defenders on I was able to measure down from the sill holes to the dirt defender as its at an angle...

Def much more power, I will need to mess about with the settings on the HU but so far so good.

If you don't mind me asking, where have you run your various cabling from switches to lights etc?

dont mind at all. I have brought the rack lights in using the front rack brackets to avoid drilling then down the usual A pillar into the dash and the then under the carpet on the gearbox tunnel into the cubby... Laser come through the bulkhead grommet with the high beam feed.

Got some Corris covers from urban truck, good finish. Just need a heat gun to fit these but very happy with them.

Cheers! I think I'm going to go bulkhead grommet for the stuff on the front end, then roofrack lights will go to a socket on the rear of the tub at high level.

Andy just realised the "nice A6" as I posted previously is a RS6 my apologies that is my other dream car
