It would be worth getting someone with a code reader such as a Nanocom or Hawkeye etc and check the alarm settings and faults registered. You can disable as well if you want.

It really depends on what you set it to be. Not sure what the default is, but in order for this key in the lock to be read, you will need the original land rover 4 pin acuator on the driver's door. if you hacked it, like me, and didn't make the connection to those, then these features will not work.

You can disable key disarm as well, so meaning unlocking the door doesn't disarm the alarm, meaning you are forced to use the plip.

A neat feature is the 1min relock you can enable, in the event you accidentally pressed the unlock or your dog bit the remote and unlocked the car and you didn't open the doors, it relocks and arms after 1 minute. this is not set by default. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island.

It's back!! Every time after I've washed it it plays up. Volumetric unplugged rear door sensor unplugged (was wet and badly corroded) still does it. On the events list on nanocom it's got door sill button. What is that when its at home? Cheers ed

The pin switch on the a post is probably getting wet when washing it, try unscrewing it and see if there is anything obviously wrong and give it a spray with wd40. Ray
