Bolts
There are four pairs of bolts just below the line of the tail lights. Three pairs are fine, the ones just to the bottom left of the spare wheel are slightly corroded. Any idea where I can get a new pair?

Many thanks!

Excuse the dreadful mobile phone pic...

Andrew - yep - But Approved Used so not as watertight at the original LR one.

I'm not brilliant on bolt sizes - any ideas? Obviously want stainless or very well galvanised! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

You can get replacement fixing kits for nearly every surface mounted bolt............. Paddocks, Craddocks, Mudstuff etc all do them.

Believe the ones on the bottom right of the above page are what you are after.

Are stainless bolts as strong as the standard galvanized ?

Why does LR not use stainless as standard ?

So I should also go back to main dealer and order replacements? I take it they are galvanised not stainless? Is it likely they will end up going the same way?

It seems a batch of vehciles suffer from it (i saw them starting to rust at the factory when in the cars!)

I think it was probably a poor batch - deal and get them to replace and fit. Mike
