Don't they still have to be E marked to come on with full beam?

Whatever the case actually is, it's quite irritating meeting an oncoming Discovery with a myriad of extra lighting that doesn't turn off when they dip the headlights, and then to have the oncoming driver gradually turning them off one set at a time. I came round a corner on a bit of single track road near me over the weekend, got blinded and couldn't see where the road, hedges or ditch were for quite a while. As it happened the other driver had pulled over for me I just could see that they had.

Yes, totally agree. Seems crazy why you wouldn't have them linked... Maybe it is a legality issue... Either way, it's very dangerous (for both driver of the vehicle and oncoming vehicles) to have to manually switch them all off after you've dipped your main beams.

I have solved this by wiring in a Labcraft Scenelite S17 Waterproof Exterior LED Light - Black (1420 Lumens, 10-32V)" lights the rear up perfectly now ... i don't have to listen for a crunching sound when reversing.

Not sure if this is going to increase reverse light illumination or not yet, but given my OCD and desire for a relatively clutter free rear end, I've gone for two dual reverse / fog LEDs Cool

Any one got any ideas how I can increase the illumination of my reversing light without resorting to a work light. I live in the sticks and the standard reverse light intensity on my new 90 is inadequate..
Thanks

I have an LED reverse light and it's not great. One thing I do if I am parking up in the slots behind the flat is to use the fog in conjunction with the reverse light, sometimes it helps. I have the privacy tint on the rear windows so it can be tricky.

I looked at the dual lights for fog and reverse but I am keen to keep the aesthetics to original spec.

Work light was another thought for me; and hook it up to reverse, but as mentioned - not road legal. Other option was IR camera to show up on my IL-700 screen but I've spent enough already.

^^ Install a worklight without hooking it up to the reverse. But put the on/off command switch (with a red light to remind you it is in the on position) in the space available at the right side of the steering wheel like I did. Then when reversing and really in need of seeing more, you switch the worklight on manually. Nobody will ever say anything about that. Simples. Thumbs Up
Eric

I eventually put two rear mount Labcraft S18's as per many folk on here switched from the dash only.....More than adequate and look really neat.....

from the cubbybox switch (ON-OFF-ON) you can choose:
1. ON
2. always OFF (centre position)
3. ON with Reverse

From the rear switch (ON-ON)
1. as "decided" from the cubby switch
2. ON

Fantastic implementation and smart idea with the switch in the rear. What unit is this? I'm a bit OCD about all lights on my 110 being LED so they all match and this looks perfect.

Is there a solution for those of us who think that perhaps spending nearly £100 on a lamp is a bit of a stretch?

^^ An IP66 rating sounds not terribly good for installing on the outside of a truck fully exposed to the elements. Surely someone on here will be able to confirm or deny my concern.

Thanks, they look far more reasonable. I need something on the rear for reversing in the dark in unlit places (i.e. forest roads with big drops/drains on the side).

IP66 will be absolutely fine.
