Well! I also collected HUE yesterday!!!

Also had a DRY drove home so he is still clean! Thumbs Up

So, first impressions.

I know all Defenders feel and drive differently, but even though my 'higher spec' 90 XS SW in Australia is only 4 months old, HUE feels like a totally different car to drive and to be in!

a: For some reason it is quieter, even with the MTR tyres! No idea why...!! But thats great!

b: I love all the little aluminium 'accents' to the finish. The interior door handles are a lovely machined aluminium and feel super. Nice touches with the Aluminium rings around the clock and gauges. The air vents too, and thes also have an 'Audi TT' feel to them on a ratchet when you rotate them. Nice!

c: The steering wheel is real stitched leather. Feels chunky.

d: The gear levers are really lovely, with the red/yellow rings. They feel much more 'solid' and give a nice weighted balance to the gear change.

e: Most of all, I had not appreciated that the Grasmere Green paint is actually metallic! Looks really lovely in the hazy sun today!

Definitely feels like a very special 90. Just wish I was here more often to drive it!!!

Cheers,

Pete Very Happy [/img] YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Awesomesauce and congratulations Pete... Thumbs Up

Looks really awesome and there is just the faintest hint of envy here as I do love that colour, bloody JLR and their non-existent customer care for one of their main markets... Rolling with laughter

Hopefully get to see it 'in the flesh' soon enough mate... Whistle

Meanwhile keep it warm, dry and airconned... Mr. Green

Cheers guys!

TBH, he HAS exceeded my expectations! Somehow feels quite 'special'... as the Heritage Editions are I suppose!

I only need to fit OEM fold up sidesteps so I can get in/out now. Laughing YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Very happy with it and the quality of the interior.

Only driven it a few miles so will have a proper look tomorrow.

Congrats!!!

They ARE very very special!

Problem with that is 'lanes'! Mmmm, Mud, scratches, rust, etc etc... seem too nice for that!!! Shocked

Have a good look tomorrow... the paintwork is just the BEST quality on any Defender I have seen! NO, NONE, not even a hint of any 'orange peel' or bubbles and runs that are often seen! I was looking at an AutoBiography last week... the Santorini Black paint was rubbish in comparison...

ENJOY. Thumbs Up YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Well done mate.
Glad it is all you'd hoped it would be, (and more by the sound of it!)
Some more pics, and interior shots would be good.
Are you going to get the "Zagato" application?
Enjoy, Pickles.

England 2016 Defender 90 2.5 TD Heritage Edition HT Grasmere Green

Hi,

New to the forum, took delivery of my heritage 90 on Saturday, brought primarily as an investment and to own the last of a very special vehicle.

I own and run another 90 SW as my daily driver so the heritage will be tucked away for the most part and driven on sunny days a few times a year!

Love the vehicle, its completely standard so no radio or air con, but as it's not a daily driver it's not the end of the world for me.

I may add side steps and anything else I see others adding or doing that seems like a good idea.

I will be having her wax oiled in the new year. Thumbs Up
