Anyone ride trail bikes?
I'm thinking about getting another enduro / trail bike after a long gap and would like some advice. I was never a great rider and always had 400, 500 @ 600 cc bike but would a newer 250 4 stroke be a better bet as I don't want to race as I am now fat and 50!

Consider what you're wanting to do with it before deciding on size / stroke etc Thumbs Up

If it's mainly trail riding then a four stroke trail bike will be a good mix of reliability and comfort. If it's enduro / hair & hounds then 250 four strokes are ace but require a fair bit of maintenance. A 250 two stroke is still a cracking machine and I believe a lot of the lads are now going back to the two strokes for reliability / weight. The economy of the four stroke can't be ignored but the light-weight of the two stroke out ways it in most comps (IMHO).

Having said all that nothing beats the arm lengthening sensation of a Husaberg finding traction at full chat - so long as you enjoy servicing it Bow down

K9F - You're not going off reading in the Harley are you? Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

International dirt bike show 2015 was on motors tv I watched last night.

I've always been interested in them, but call me a wimp but I've had enough broken bones already and don't want any more.
More importantly I've not got a bike licence anyway. Laughing

MX and Defenders go well together in my opinion, both designed for purpose. Mr. Green

Mainly will be trail riding and I certainly don't want to go back to my old 610 husky which was a bitch to kick...especially at the end of the day when wet and tired !

Go for a 2016 KTM 350 EXC-F Six Days, plenty of grunt to pull some "weight", electric start, fuel injected (most bikes are now) & it's a KTM the best Enduro bike out there. I'm very tempted myself.
