Brake Disc Surprise
I have a MY07, new owner, and really enjoying the process of getting to know the Landy life.

Today at the garage, I was doing my first big service project. New disc's, pads and wheel bearings all around. Well I thought I had done a decent job on the prep. I have a Workshop Manual ordered good parts, watched youtube videos on the process and started my day.

I start in the rear, they were in the worst shape. I get the hub and disc off and flip over to put in a wheel lying down in order to remove the bolts so I can separate the disc and hub. I see what you see in the picture. the ABS pulsar ring. Surprise I had no idea that was in there. What a noob. Guess what the discs I bought don't have the bolt holes for the ring so I am done with the job today. Bummer. I didn't even see discs like that at the online retailers. I didn't event see mention of these in the workshop manual. So now I need to return the discs I have and buy new ones. Lessons learned I guess.

Any issues with this pulsar ring I should look out for?

Laughing bad day at the office!

The rings are ok to remove, bit of a fiddle with a 10mm spanner, give them a clean and straight back on.
I've never had issues with them.
Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Yep, oh well. I think of it just getting to know my girl as little better. Thanks Ian.
