Scotland 2012 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Zambezi Silver
First time towing a decent weight with this 90 and it pulled like a train (170 BAS remap).

I've gotten used to towing these with the Disco 3 then the FullFat TDV8 so wasn't sure what to expect but overall Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 12 big bales of hay looks a more impressive load but it's no where near the weight of this.

The normal load is the horse trailer which all up is right on 3500kg and the 90 is suprisingly stable with it - even if SWMBO on the wee old cob isn't quite so stable!! Very Happy

-Duel optima blue tops
-Cole Hersee 48530 Smart Battery Isolator
-Genesis Offroad G Screen Dual Battery Monitoring System
-Ctek onbord charger.
-Blue Sea Systems 5025 ST Blade Fuse Block - 6
-Isolator Switch on left is to cut power from going to the power inverter.

Before the heavens opened this afternoon, I fitted a Red Bison headlight wiring loom and a set of Osram Nightbreakers. When I disconnected the battery, I got a text from SKYTAG telling me the battery had been disconnected. So I am really happy the tracker system works. After I had finished, I nipped round to the local garage to check the beam alignment, which needed just a small tweak.

Really proud of myself as all this stuff is new to me. But having this forum gave me the confidence and knowledge to tackle these jobs that I would never of thought of doing with my old car. So big thumbs up Thumbs Up to all the contributors to this forum that, as they say, turns drivers into mechanics Very Happy

You might want to insulate the positive terminals or the bar that is holding them both down, any movement and you might be getting a short circuit.

just been out on a flood mission!! we have had heavy rain all day here, and the ford that we cross to get to our house is flooded. other half rings to say she doesn't think the Q3 will go through it so defender to the rescue!! about 2ft of fast flowing water no props for the beast Thumbs Up My 109 thread

Yesterday I replaced a brake caliper, near enough around the same price as a reseal kit but no hassle. Also tightened up a wheel bearing in readiness for its MoT later this month. Today I got it up on a four poster and had a good look underneath. I need another UJ on the rear propshaft, six months is a short life for a wear part but hey ho, my 110 does get used well. I also need to replace the radius arm bushes again on the nearside axle end. They're not worn as such, they have become seperated from the centre tubes allowing the arm to move sideways in the axle fixings.
Then before the test I'll be putting the cat back on, yes I know that many pass without them fitted but I can't put my friendly MoT tester on the spot if he passes it and the Vosa man walks through his door

My 90 pass the mot today after having a small plate welded just behind bumper. Had it done at the mot place as they can't fail there own work!

1998 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Rioja Red
had a quiet day at work so i thought id sort out the rear washer jet (it hadn't worked since i bought the red zepplin about 6 months ago). Out side i went with a brew and opened the bonnet pressed the dash board washer button from the passenger side door heard the motor spin but no water Rolling Eyes . So after pulling the pipe off and pressing the button again to see a jet of water shoot out decided what i needed was a non return valve Idea of to halfords. Got back put the kettle on for a brew and attached the valve heard the motor spin again no water Question . So off came the trim on the A pillar to expose the pipe, pressed the button and saw the water get about half way up the pillar and stop HMMMM though i. The pump musn't have enough guts to push the washer fluid over the top. So i put the kettle on for a brew and disconnected the pipe from the washer jet over the back door, ran the pipe back to the front passenger door, had a brew and ignoring EVERY peice of self and hasty advice syphoned the washer fluid through keeping an eagle eye on the fluid Shocked . i had a brew after reattaching the pipe to the washer jet and got ready to pat my self on the back i pressed the button and water came out of the rear washer jet Thumbs Up it unfortunatly also ran down the back of my shirt as i reached across from the passenger side from the headlining Big Cry it seems the orriginal nrv had failed so after a brew and reflecting on the fact better this happend to me than my current "duty supervisor" all i had to do was remove the headlining and replace the orriginal NRV with a connection piece. 5 miniutes of a job with a brew Rolling with laughter

Removed the bumper end caps, I think it looks more classic(just have to do something for the holes).
