My 90 SW arrived at the Newcastle dealer today collecting it Saturday - it just made every other car look very ordinary.

Huey, that's a 10 on the clapometer. Perfect. When a opportunity like this knocks, you have to take it. ![]() |

Thanks fellow Land Rover nuts. Yes, I'll be using it daily. The only extras I'm getting are a set of five locking wheel nuts and a Cobra Thatcham Category 5 Tracker - this is the North East you know. I bought my first Land Rover in 1989 but my favourite was an ageing Series IIA which National Trust gave me as my fee for carrying out structural surveys of bridges at Cragside Estate in Northumberland, although the second hand TD5 shown here in 2012 was also great - 7 seats in a 90 and remember those vents? The Newcastle dealer is hoping to have all three of their Heritage allocation on site when I collect it on Saturday - they'll certainly have my SW and a 90 HT and are hoping to have the 110 SW so I'll try to post some pics.

...and I've just found a pic of my old IIA - see why I needed a Heritage?

...and the attached picture shows why they have a yellow and red ring on the Heritage gear and transfer box levers, although on the IIA, if my memory serves the yellow one is the diff lock. Note also the Fairy overdrive lever and the windscreen demisters - I think both were an option. I wish they'd fitted this dash layout to the Heritage but I guess its illegal.

Although the Heritage is clearly a lovely truck, I am not at all sorry to have cancelled my order way back when, I would much rather have that gorgeous IIA on my drive right now... ![]() Have you still got either of your two previous lovelies? ... ![]() ![]() The GREEN One... I haven't made a decision about a wireless yet. The dealer removed the speaker trims to check that they had not fitted speakers and established that they hadn't, just earlier pics on this topic. However, does anyone know if the Heritage wiring harness includes wires for speakers and the head unit?

I'm afraid I sold both the previous ones and I do agree that the Heritage, for all its magnificence, is a shadow of the IIA. The bulkhead was in poor shape so I sold it to an enthusiast from Manchester who had the wherewithal to sort it so I hope its still on the road.
