Also as you have used Urban Truck extensively I can also say that their customer is excellent, despite calling to confirm only small number of things not equating to volumes of money they ensured everything was answered correctly and made to feel welcome. needless to say it all got ordered Smile

Nice one Cake, wheels make a big difference.

Chris at CSK, Dinitrol'd and Dynamat'd mine, great job, top fella.

+1 For Urban, they turn out a top product, nothing too much for them, A1 customer service, well happy with my Truck. Cheers Simon

Thanks - Not quite in your league yet, an absolutely stunning bespoke defender and done so very tastefully Wink

I was waiting to see how yours hold out on your build thread before I get them done Wink

Yes number one was security and secondly was wheels, which unfortunately sat around a little while before being fitted.

Thank you for the kind words... Embarassed

I did start with a truck very similar to yours and would have, if I had kept it, attempted to develop it much as you are tackling yours... Thumbs Up

I just had a bit of a life game changer and decided what the heck, we only live once and for a very, very short time and was lucky enough to work closely with Urban to itch that spot... Mr. Green

Seriously though, what are those hoops like to ride on? They're growing on me, but afraid it would ruin the (exemplary) handing.... Whistle

In all honesty I was completely shocked at how well it handled, I really would have thought that just turning them would be a struggle but that car drove much better than my standard defender - so much so that I will get a remap at some point.

I don't remember road noise or vibrations from the tyres being an issue and was comfortable as could be - the interior would have helped also.

Chris has at least one of these setup so if you are close enough you could drop by and have a go and see what deal he could get you seems as he has had a few sets.

So finally after some winging and wining and Land Rover the corroded windscreen caps and a little on the windscreen frame were approved to be fixed.

Work carried out by Beadles Land Rover in Sidcup and despite a little delay I am extremely happy with their service, attention to detail and most of their quality of work!

Everything fixed plus new rubber and Pillington windscreen fitted Smile

Well after the first shoot of the season the performed amazingly but but quite muddy!

I decided I wouldn't be jumping to take her out again and she's sat at the club house for the last 4 shoots - after a lot of stick it was time to take her out again but drive very slowly in the muddy areas Smile

The performed amazingly - coming down a hill a Mitsubishi L200 and Ford Ranger both went completely side ways come down a muddy track off a small hill; I'll admit I was terrified with my little experience off roading - all 4 Defenders drove down without an inche coming off track, they really are great!

After lots of trial and error and wasted money finally I have Clear rear lights added Smile

Both smaller lights are standard indicator lights.

Indicators were a straight swap.

Brake lights have a replacements LED bulb with 25 LEDs

The fog light light is a standard reverse light, again with a replacement LED bulb with 25 LEDs.

All running perfect and looks cleaner now.

So finally my first Defenderism!

Of course it was a leak and this forum instantly provided the answer with a quick search - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic24108....lease+leak

I found water in the drivers footwell only after heavy prolonged rain, in the end it turned out the new windscreen wasn't properly sealed, so back to the dealers and they got a specialist in to seal it; in order for me not to have any more trouble.

Shes now water tight Smile

Also had the driver door seals replaced and rehung as I was getting wind come through at 70mph, which can be quite annoying on the motorway.

She's now perfect Smile

Next up is a new cubby so I can actually rest one of my elbows while driving, I opted for the Exmoor trim premium high top cubby with the XS styling.

This will keep it all looking standard and be more comfortable.

I received it yesterday (following my last one being damaged!) and I must say I am happy with the quality of it.

Also a set of Urban Truck carpet mats for a tidier finish, with the rubber ones for when mud makes its way in.

Next Defenderism - I took the door wind noise as normal but never knew how passenger could hear so clearly.

I undone and moved in the door catch and it needs good slam but is now silent when above 50mph Smile
