United Kingdom 2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey
As I've said on other threads I'm a big fan of the LRI Corbeau's. Supreme quality and very comfortable.
I have the low side variant which as others have said is the only real choice for a Defender.
The only drawback is the lack of removable seat base, since fitting I've only once had to remove the seat once and I just keep a 10mm ratchet in my (matching leather) cubby.
If I had a bit more money (and time) available yes I would go for the Recaro's but I would want them retrimmed in leather with white stitching to match the rest of my interior. I doubt I'd get a lot of change out of Ģ3-4K to do so.

As for Exmoor trim products? No thanks!! All you need to do is go and see their products at a stockist and then phone their 'customer service' (cough) department and you'll understand why. However I accept that's my experience and my opinion! We know know that opinions are like bum holes, we've all got one!!! Mr. Green

I wouldn't discount seats that don't have a removeable base for exactly the reason you say - how often do you need to get into either space. I've only done it a few times and that's before and after a visit to the main dealers - just to check what's in there and is still in there when they've finished!

If people are going for a non easily removeable seat base I would suggest fitting an Anderson socket somewhere handy such as seat box so you can give/receive a jump start easily.

Wild Card, we like the seating position of the Scheelmanns, not tried the Recaros.

Suggest next time you are in Bavaria you go via Berg in Neumarkt and sit in some in the Nakatanenga 110

That's a good idea - but again , it's a good while since I needed to jump start a vehicle & similar to the recent threads about towing someone and being responsible for supposed consequent damage; there's the risk that someone might scream you fried my ECU or similar.

I don't know the legal/MOT implications of having a seat pivot on hinges at the back and just use some quick release locking pins at the front? Like the arrangements for the middle row but only in reverse.

Brendan[/Quote). I am still very pleased with the Recaros as they are a massive improvement over the factory 2012 seats. I am sure the Scheelmann are good too. It really is worthwhile sitting in Defender with your intended configuration before you buy. The base height is nearly as important as the seat itself. I like the lower seating position that the SVX seat offers. The access to the backrest adjuster wheel is borderline - but otherwise they are great. Stephen 1998 Tdi 90 SW,
