Today, I had another day out with the Vintage Sports Car Club this time near Winchcombe, couple of tugs, one stuck car trying to turn round at the top of a section and the other was one that had a diff break up. He had to be pulled back down the hill to await trailering away.
Didn't get many photos, just this one that is relevant. Click image to enlarge |

Well spotted Grenadier The "slight modifcation"
Now the lever "falls" to hand much better, plus the MSS cubby box can be left with the front lid open, without fouling the stick,, works for me, so much better
Yes John,,,not a big difference, but notable,, I drove a full spec Bowler 90 last year. and was impressed with the better gear change,, more positive selection of the gears, my 110 is the same now Click image to enlarge California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

Fitted 4x Hella luminator compact Xenon, and replaced the headlights with SVX units.
The photograph doesn't do the lights justice. The spotlights are silly bright! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Gave the 110 a wash to remove the dirt and grime that made the 110 its new home after a few days out on the WRC rally. The door cards needed a scrub as well after muddy boots caught the door cards getting in and out etc.

Yesterday collected my new (to me) 110 SW Puma and drove it to my preferred workshop for a thorough going over. The last 110 I drove was a 200 Tdi 6 years ago so it was interesting to see the evolution. Having a working heater that can actually heat the whole vehicle was good, and the TDCI although slightly odd in its throttle response, is significantly more pokey than my old Tdi. Gearbox seems excellent, brakes are sh*te but I think they are glazed. Overall very happy with the purchase

Actually yesterday, but installed one of these in the SVX.
Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
