changing the rotatry ventilation flow position switch
2.4 07 Puma

i have a problem in that the above switch is very difficult/almost impossible to turn (plus the recycled air/fresh air slider is stuck too) are the two connected?

How difficult is it to change the switch? does anyone have a part number

or is it more likley to be a control direction flap somewhere and where should i start looking?

many thanks in advance. Cheers

Unfortunately it is only available as part of the heater control panel assembly and the panel is shockingly expensive.

It is however not difficult to remove and if you disconnect the operating cable from the knob you'll know immediately if it is the knob (unlikely) or flap (more likely) that is stiff. Remove the centre panel from the dash and the controls are largely self-explanatory.

Accessing the heater box to overhaul the flaps means removing the dash completely.
