Intermitent Rear wiper
Not mine Embarassed , taken from www.audax-team.de

VERY EASY MOD!!!!

Have you a standard/original Land Rover wiper ECU in your hand?

The green-white cable of position 6 of the base must be put on position 1

Test it..............................

Is that red one, the one you replace with the VW 99 relay for variable front wipers?

Very good!

Been wondering about that ever since i replaced my front relay, just havent had time to work out which wire goes where!

Just one question, do you need power to pin 1 and 6 or just power to pin 1?

Many thanks.

Pete.

I'm doing this in the morning, if I can understand the instructions...

So the green and White wire comes out, then I get lost. Which wires are joined together? Is a new wire added anywhere? My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

only to move the wire from pin 6 to pin 1 (yo must extract the pin 6 from the socket using a tiny screw driver)

I done the small wire because the pin 1 is smallest (is like an adaptor)

in this way you can return to the original configuration when you want.....

Just moving 1 wire does the trick?!? I have been waiting to recycle my AMR relay forever, hoping for such a solution.

Thanks DGardel!!!

I've just done this mod - works perfectly with the 'old' intermittent wiper relay.

As Dgardel says, you only need to move the green / white wire from 6 to 1.

Finding a tiny relay terminal can be hard - I 'unfurled' the existing terminal, narrowed it and 'refurled' it to fit in the smaller hole.

Well done Dgardel! My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

Yep, works great, takes 20 min to implement (i struggled removing the socket from position 6 Embarassed ) but... i am not 100% convinced... i mean: there might be situations when the contonous wipe is needed, for example when i want to "wash" the glass with the sprinklers. Has someone found a way to make the intermittent behave just like it used to do at the front (i am recycling the AMR relay)? I'd like it to wipe continously for 4 times and then stop when i press the sprinkler switch. Can it be done? i assume yes, and it is probably all about taking a feed from the positive that powers the pump and send somewhere in the relay. But where?

Thanks guys Smile
