First thing to do on any Td5 that has a new owner is to check the ECU harness fro oil migration.

Thanks. The guy i had it off put a new loom in it... Haven't checked the maf yet thouh

Even with the new loom, there could be oil in the harness still working it's way down to the ECU. Unplug the harness at the ECU, and give it a check to see if it's dry.

Thanks. After reading up on it a bit more i'm also wondering if the cat could be blocked.... That's sort of how it feels when driving.

Tchecked the loom and it looks fine. I have booked in to have a full stainless system and a cat removal, so i'll see if that makes a difference.
