Is it only Urban Truck that supply 'black' side runner chequer plate tread to replace the 'silver' ones ?

Surely cheaper to have it anodised or powder coated ?

Urban truck dont do anything themselves, that means you can buy it elsewhere cheaper, have a look on ebay and you'll find some.

No luck on ebay
And a 200+ mile round trip to Urban Truck and £240 for 2 small bits of black chequerplate metal is not very appealing. Any views/ideas on spraying in situ, ie etching primer and a few coats of black paint ? |

Be cheaper to take existing ones off and take to your local GOOD powder coaters!
Personally I am not a big fan of chequer plate. When wet, especially on an angle it can be slippery as ice! Brendan |

No thats just a rip off! Do like Brendan said and take them to a local paint shop, or look at anodising companies £50 tops i'd say from experience. |

To give you an idea I had a bike frame powder coated to a good standard for £30.
