Bending Indicator stalks
Lots of us have fitted after market 15" steering wheels and new bosses, and for most it means the stalks are a little too far from the wheel to be easy and comfortable to reach.

I read a post somewhere (can't recall who it was) that said its easy enough to bend the indicator stalks closer to the wheel.

Has anyone done this and is there a technique at all other than brute force? 2016 D4 HSE

Yep done it a few times. Just take care and don't hold it at the very end, and hold on both hands, don't just pull it with one hand.

I bent mine just last week after contemplating spending money on a low profile boss.
You just have to be careful to bend the stalk without causing any damage inside the switch.
I found if you hold the stalk near the switch/base and then bend the stalk with your other hand, you can get the desired effect without affecting the functionality of the switch.

If you break it, it's not my fault! Whistle --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I put a post up with pics but I can't find it now!
I just got 2 pairs of grips and gently bent them outwards, it doesn't take much effort to bend them so be careful, very easy to do and makes it much easier if you've fitted a Momo or similar, use something soft in the jaws of the grips so it doesn't mark the rubber, or just peel the rubber back.

Thanks for the replies by the way, will try using a pair of grips, maybe with some chammy between the jaws and the stalk to prevent damage. 2016 D4 HSE

He's shot off back to whence he came and I reckon he took his spoon with him due to the notice placed on it? Laughing

Its gone Laughing

A giant red spoon sculpture unveiled by TV illusionist Uri Geller as a parting gift to the Berkshire village of Sonning where he has lived for 35 years has been removed.

The steel statue in the shape of a bent spoon had been placed on a large tree stump in Sonning earlier this month. However no planning permission was given for the sculpture to be erected.

It is not clear who has taken the sculpture down, or why.

However Rolling with laughter

The mystery surrounding the controversial bent spoon sculpture donated to Sonning by Uri Geller has been solved.

His spokesman Kevin Lewis says : “I’ve now managed to get hold of Uri and there is an explanation for the missing spoon sculpture.

“Uri had a very strong feeling that retrospective planning was going to be denied, “So the decision has been made to remove the spoon from Sonning on Thames and flown to Jerusalem, to be presented as a symbol of peace in order to aid Uri in his efforts in that regard.
