Spot light switch wiring....
I have done a search and got about 90% of the info but I have a specific question... My rack lights loom from Mobilecentre has 2 pins that go into 1 and 5 in the landrover spot switch.... So I am assuming that I can just tap into a neighbouring switch for the illumination feed?? Into slot 2. But what about the switch ground?? Do I need it?
Thanks

From memory you'll need the ground for the illumination, I just took both off neighbours

Yeah have seen that one...its the switch ground I need to get from another switch. Anyone know which pin is ground in either the rear wiper or washer switch? Andy

You need the earth on pin 4, as the switch switches the relay's coil to earth, from pin 1 to pin 4

The connection on pin 5 is so that the switch's tell-tale LED illumniates when the lamps are on.

The night-time illumination for pin 2, can be taken from an adjacent switch.

Does the kit not have any instructions with it Question

Yeah think ur right.. It easy to find the illumination feed as I can read 12v with the side lights on... I guess the ground wire in a switch won't have any volts? Andy

The switch earths are Black wires -

On pin 4 on the rear wiper switch

On pin 2 on the rear washer switch

The switch illumination lives are on Red/Orange wires -

On pin 2 on the rear wiper switch

On pin 5 on the rear washer switch
