Jeez hard to believe that its nearly a month since i have done anything to 130.
Decided to do some more cosmetic work instead of mechanical for a change, got a decent second hand wing few minor scrapes and small dents but a hell of alot better than the one that came off. Click image to enlarge Just as i took wing off started to lash down but thankfully just a shower Click image to enlarge New wing on gave it a good going over with machine polisher. Very pleased with result another step closer to making this 130 look presentable. Click image to enlarge List is getting shorter at the minute but there is plenty to add i am sure when i bring myself to writing another list 1993 Defender 110 Ex Military soft top, with a long wishlist already |

Just started reading your posts Rosso, thoroughly enjoying the rebuild so far. You're a brave man taking on a project like that, it's half the battle when you have space and a good friend too who has a ramp etc Best of luck with it, look forward to following your progress.

Being tempted by another Land Rover project at the moment, as if i dont have enough headaches to deal with, think i am a glutton for punishment
Click image to enlarge It will be this or 130 i might add, dont have room and budget for both 1993 Defender 110 Ex Military soft top, with a long wishlist already |

Just like to say a big thank you to everyone on forum who shared advice, showed interest, gave friendly encouragement, and general positivity toward this project.
Unfortunately as of the late hours of last night i have sold the 130 the writing has been on the wall for a while as some of you know. Lack of interest and time were the main factors plus struggling to see the finishing line with only getting to work at it for a couple of hours on a Sunday. Never fear there will always be another project, there is the classic above plus a chance of an ex military 110 soft top on the horizon, not sure which i will go for...... Any thoughts? Thanks again Ross 1993 Defender 110 Ex Military soft top, with a long wishlist already |

Very sorry to hear that
Still, its one hell of a project for whoever you passed it to For what its worth I would go for the ex-army 110 rather than the classic, Much less rust to deal with and army trucks are always cooler But go for what you are interested in, if your not interested you are much less likely to be motivated to work on it Best of luck Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Sad to see you leave 130 ownership. Mines going in for mot today.
I have always liked the looks of military green landrovers. A set of big mt's with black wheels and arches and a few more black accessories and it will look just right, in my eyes anyway. |

Nearly 4 months without Defender ownership think thats the longest its ever been, my Ex military soft top finally arrived yesterday it was sitting over in UK and just hadnt had a chance to get over for it.
Thought i would pop on to my old build thread and post a photo plus to let those who followed this thread, a little secret....... i sold the 130 without the 4.2 V8 in it, which has been tucked up all nice and warm in my garage over winter, i just couldnt let it go So plan is to drop it into the soft top but not right away going to enjoy having a running MOTd 110 for a while. Will do a build thread elsewhere on forum, its good to be back Click image to enlarge 1993 Defender 110 Ex Military soft top, with a long wishlist already |

Wicked Cool
Even though I'm not a fan of petrol engines I have had ideas of a ex-military 110 soft top v8 for summer commuting. But it would be a bit of a luxury at the moment Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |
