Thats fine Martin i was never worked up!i just dont like being called stupid ( no matter how veiled or implied)and i respond in kind ..My writing style may be blunt in response and therefore it may look like i was wound up i apologise for that but the meat in my replies remain valid imho. I have never backed down from a bully since i was in short trousers and i am not going to start now ...i am not quick to temper and prefer jaw jaw to war war.....that said having read lots of brendans posts in the past i dont think he could claim to be the calmest of individuals especially in the face of any critique of his products or business.I welcome the call to halt the discussion but i must say that new posters may be put of by old timers sort of acting like old bull seals attempting to keep the younguns in check and attemting to frame what is discussed according to their value set...........if we cannot discuss varied issues such as security issues including bypass methods and new members cannot discuss how much they would value a wheel lock whats the point of a forum.........I have learned loads on here about many aspects of defender ownership and hope to continue to do so and there are a lot of kind and helpful people on here but not all...... but thats life!Would i buy anything from Brenden again well no! would i like to be stuck in a lift with him well no! can i in the future have a sensible and curtious discussion with him on a forum site well yes I hope so! I now wish I had not. I noticed on the news that the Conservatives have placed a ring of steel around their Conference, it looks like the country has been placed on alert over the lock issue, Jeremy Corbyn has gone on the record saying he definitely would not replace the spare wheel lock and wants the world to adopt a none spare wheel lock initiative. Obama has also expressed a need to adopt sensible approaches to any type of Puck lock collar infringement and is watching Putin for any sign of Lock military action. Humour is the best medicine Gilarian.....unless you have a prolapsed disk! get well soon!I think the greens want an open lock initiative and and the scots wont use the lock unless it comes with a free deep fried Mars bar!

SIGH!
I see someone has been busy editing their own posts! Makes one wonder why! Just in case it has gone unnoticed in the top right hand corner there is a red triangle with an exclamation mark ! in it. This is used for reporting that post to admin, so if ANYONE thinks I have posted anything which oversteps the mark can be construed as offensive, bullying, aggressive, breaking any forum rules etc etc feel free to use it What have I learnt from this thread? Not to post any photos/drawings/ideas on this forum before production items are on the shelf. Pity as have some ideas/prototypes which I could have done with some input from some knowledgeable members. Brendan |

Locking this thread, no problem starting a new grown-up discussion again but I am not putting up with the bickering and points-scoring. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
