I think that as it was the dealer who started this whole problem that they should be showing a bit of goodwill. I agree, demand to speak to the Dealer Principal and see what he will do about the problem caused by his staff. At the moment I think you are letting them get away a bit lightly for the problems they have caused you. I understand that you are quite happy with the alternative and obviously to have a new defender at all but I think you deserve more.
The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
I got £20 voucher today from Mole Country stores because they messed up my delivery of a gate
How about free servicing for 5 years?

I've done the deal...I'm sure I could have done better given the circumstances but I'm happy with the XS I've secured.
Arriving in October so I have a little while to think about getting some Recaro seats and perhaps a wheel change - I wouldn't have even considered that with the Heritage. Part of the fun of owning a Defender is modifying to suit your own preference which adds a bit of interest too so I'm not disappointed
My main concern at the moment is trying to get rid of my current car - ideally before the Defender arrives.
