What are peoples honest MPG's out of Puma TDCI 110 Station Wagons?

i get 30 mpg all the time BETTER TO REGRET THE THINGS YOU'VE DONE THAN REGRET THE THINGS YOU HAVE'NT

22-24 mpg but mine has got a rack on etc You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things

Only put two full tanks through mine so far over 850miles very gentle driving as I believe in running-in, based on brim to brim fills the 1st tank was 31.6 and the 2nd 29.8 (mainly motorway at ~55-60mph), overall average 30.6.

Much the same as me but i have managed more driving at 60mph on the motorway. I got 26 in Spain while on holiday and with all the kit on the roof |

I would say I have been averaging about 28. 30-32 if I am good......... 22-24 if I am on the limiter.

The question was about 'honest' mpg, I don't believe doing less than the National speed limit on the motorway is anything like honest. I always do about 80 mph on the motorways and reckon on about 25 mpg as being a fair average, 27 if drive like a pansy, oh and thats with racks, lights and a winch....

I drive lots of miles reguarly up and down from Cornwall and localy everywhere is at least 60miles away. I also make a 500 mile return run to london every month, so have a wide range of roads to dtive on from motorways to bumpy farm tracks and the odd green lane. Its about 2000 miles a month - which is a lot of miles for me - but I know there are many on here who do many more miles than that. This regular distance can be expensive and can also be stressful if you are going fast everywhere, so I tend to listen to 'chillout' music or radio 4 and potter allong about 2000 revs max - which gives me 60mph and normaly returns about 400 miles out of a brimmed tank before the warning light comes on - this I worked out to be about 30mpg... I can put my foot down and easily exceed the legal limit, but soon get stressed and drop back to my normal speed. I have a fully fitted camper set up, brownchurch full roof rack, and an A bar with spots that really help the defenders aerodynamics (not!) So am reasonably pleased as the privious TD5 would only return high 20's what ever i did. This is my Honest driving stlye and speeds. I have done fast in the past - now I relax and enjoy the journey. Mines dropped to around 28 now, managed to get about 31 pretty consistently, only the last few fill ups have been lower. My driving style hasn't changed or anything either. Odd.
Although that's a 90, not a 110. |

Averaging 10.3l/100km on daily commute. Same long distance unladen. When fully loaded with RTT and camping gear, it goes up to 12-13l/100km
