Garrison outfitters windows kit
Has anyone fitted a GO window kit to stop rattling windows and also leaking windows?
This annoying feature (rattling windows & leaking windows) is on my hit list this year.
For those that have done it;
Did the kit cure the windows rattle
Did it cure the leaks? (mine leaks in the middle where the middle upright is fitted)
Other than the contents of the kit are there any other bits which need replacing at the same time? (or advisable to?) 1999 Defender TD5 110

You could save yourself a bit of money.... you really don't need to spend anything like as much as that.

I bought the 'Woolies trim', see link http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/p-1649-window-channel.aspx. Here's instruction on how to fit it too....http://www.nickslandrover.co.uk/defender-side-window-seal-replacement/

The first side took me 45 minutes then 25 once I'd sussed how to do it. Good as new!

If you read the link it says with the Woolies stuff the rattle has returned and you cant do ALL the window only the verticle edge which will still allow water in,

Im 50 / 50 on paying £100 for the GO kit or £150 for a new pair of windows

I did all but the lower horizontal section where the plastic guttering is located and a year and a half later no rattle whatsoever. I didn't even need to glue the trim in place. The fitting instruction talks of 8 mm trim..... I used the 10mm trim as it is now and was then the smallest woolies did and it totally did the trick. I promise you... you don't need to spend any more, unless of course you want to...
