Load Guard
This is my nightmare purchase. I've had too so far, one from paddock and one from britpart, both supposedly to fit a 2010 puma 90 station wagon, but neither actually does. Has anyone fitted one successfully to a station wagon (without bulkhead, just with the bar) and if so where did you get it?

I have an original land rover load guard.

Its the bottom part of the dog guard, i guess someone kept the mesh upper part before i purchased the landy.
My version just has brackets which wrap around the bulkhead bars.

I think I'll have to get the OEM from Landrover. Supposedly the britpart one WAS the oem, but it's a mile away from fitting

I Have the OEM one from landrover for my 110 puma. Cost a lot, and was a bitch to fit. But looks good and keeps 3 cocker spaniels from licking me to death! Heres the landrover link for fitting instructions for 90 cargo barrier:

Cheers Brian. Problem is that's the one I had, and it wouldn't fit. I think I'm going to have to take it to the dealer as the fittings on the sides for the bar are miles out

Mine didn't fit first time either. Some of the fittings were out by as much as a couple of centimeters, so after losing the rag for the fourth time fitted it without doing up any of the fastenings until everything was attached. Then tightened everything up and it fitted perfectly. In the first four attempts I had'nt taken into account that it was a defender and assumed wrongly, that everything would be square. (this is my first defender),Embarassed

I sympathise! Trouble with the second one I had was that once the lower half was in position, put in loosely, the top wouldnt go near it. the centres which join the top to the bottom were ok in terms of fit, but the angle of the bottom half was such that the top was about 60 degrees as opposed to vertical. there was no room to manoevre on the lower half, we'd already had to jam it in to get the sod to go anywhere near it. I've pretty much thrown in the towel with it and plan to ring the dealer and say will they fit it for the price of supply. if they say yes, its their problem Laughing

The reason i fitted it instead of the dealers was that they quoted up to 2 hours to fit at £100 per hour!! Must have been the Scot in me thinking robbing B******s, Ill do it myself!!!!

Taggarts Landrover Motherwell, Labour charge £100 per hour. They fitted Safari snorkel and steering guard which I supplied for £330, cost more to fit than buy Big Cry
Lessen here learned the hard way, get a price first........ then fit it yourself.......

I have an OEM in the 110 and it was a butch to fit. Ended up drilling new holes in the top part to marry up with the brackets in the Alpine windows. There is a useful thread on here about people's difficulties with fitting and their solutions. Try a search Thumbs Up

Bought a Land Rover part, fitted it in about half-an-hour. Just needed to tap out some of welded nuts to clear out some black paint, used for thumbscrews. Fitted like a glove. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
