Is Birmingham airport (BHX) very close to the Solihull plant? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

So booked the tour for myself for monday 7 December at 1PM.
Flying in the morning from Geneva, arriving BHX at 10.00 am, departing BHX again same day at 19.00 hrs, so nicely done in 1 day, even have time for a little lunch before the tour I guess.

If you had an estimated "build date" of week ending 17/07/2015 and a delivery date to dealer of 31/72015..... when might be the best chance of actually seeing it in production?
Do they just go through from start to finish within one day, so there is a pretty slim chance of being in the right place at the right time? |

The mark of a true enthusiast! Flying to the UK for a day to visit a factory. It's given me an idea though - amazingly, I can fly to Birmingham from Aberdeen (limited destinations) and if I choose dates carefully it will be less than £100....
