I would like to meet the man who could do 4-wheel tracking on a Land Rover!

Sorry I can't help with a recommendation in your area, but I don't think you need anything as technical and specialised as 4 wheel tracking. 4 wheel tracking would be necessary for fully independent suspension, adjustable at each corner.

With beam axles on a defender, there's nothing to adjust on the rear axle.
At the front there's only the track rod and drag link.
Any decent garage should be able to set it up for you, preferably one that understands ancient technology. Very Happy

Completely agree - I've heard a few garages rip off people by claiming to do 4 wheel tracking and alignment on a Landy Evil or Very Mad

I went to a Defender/Land Rover specialist close to me, they were great, very good people to deal with, they said they'd heard of other garages saying they could do 4 wheel tracking on a Defender - they obviously can't - if they said they could then they're taking the preverbal. The only wheels that can be tracked on a Defender is the front 2.
Once done properly it made a huge difference.

technically you can check the 4 wheel tracking

example would be if you where unable to get steering wheel centred right
most tracking places if not all , will lock steering in straight ahead postion then track front wheels , but if rear axle is out of line then to compensate for that you would need to steer opposite way to counteract that hence putting steering wheel out of line , but front wheel tracking would still be right

agree that you couldn't adjust each rear wheel , but if gauges say one rear wheel out = axle bent , both rears out =bent chassis or just bad chassis as defenders have high build tolenrences

you wouldn't find a garage able to adjust it because as said there is no adjustment , but its still handy to (or frightening ) to know , how far out it is

it can be done by cutting brackets , making spacers , shortening/lengthening arms etc etc but its a lot of work and time
