2ND ROW SEAT SPACE EXTENSION SETS - EXMOOR/HOFELE
Hi everyone,

Ive done a search , but cannot find any other post so has anyone installed these brackets to reposition the second row of seats in a 110 or 90?

Thanks.

Very interested in this, hadn't realised they existed. My family are all over 6', what I need to do is move the rear seats back as first and foremost priority, then down as the second priority! These look like increased height at the same front/back position?

I don't think they lift the back up. I just think as there are four brackets they just go under the front legs which if they do will increase the rake angle and increase the height of the front.

I don't know for sure though

It certainly looks as though that's all they do - tilt the whiole seat structure backwards slightly so that your legs hang down straighter and hence create the illusion of more legroom.

I suspect that they can only be used in an SW or USW and will not fit in a double-cab since there is insufficient clearance between the seatback and the back of the cab.

I wonder if they actually make the "sitting experience" more comfortable!

I got all excited when I saw this as the little 'uns are kicking the bejesus out of the back of my seat, so moving the 2nd row back would be a bit of a God send. But alas it seems just to change the angle of the dangle 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

You could always go to twin singles in the rear and move them back on custom mounts? That's my only way out I think if I want to get four adults in comfortably for long distances. Strangely the biggest issue isn't actually leg room for me, its how high the head of the occupant is, you have to stop down to see out the side windows. My brothers about to take the seats out the back of his 130dc, just not viable for distance use if you're tall. More room for the fridge and the sub though!! Very Happy

Don't really see how these help with leg room but could be great for another problem, the backs are just too upright. I wonder what angle they give. I think the red line in their diagram is a little ambitious as front is only raise by 2-3cm.

Really wish we could have different recline options on the middle and rearmost seats but if they can't even make the standard front seats go back like in every other car for the last....???

I would love to see the before and after pictures and your thoughts on if they improve things, my son is 6"6 and is always moaning about the lack of leg room, so I'm keen to find a solution also.

Cheers

Much better... Where as with the original position you feel too upright and there is no support under your legs. With the Seat brackets fitted the backs are at a much better angle and the seat cushion is in a much better place and it supports much more of your legs..

Does the bracket kit do both the double and single rear seat? I can see in your picture the single seat seems more upright ?
