Defender 1 - Pigeon 0

Flew out in front of me and straight into the windscreen. Fortunately impact was to its arse so no damage but I'd never have believed you could get so much crap, now decorating my bonnet, from one bird. If I wasn't there I'd be inclined to think it'd hit a cow Very Happy

What get me is why they do it in the first place Rolling Eyes
We've got miles and miles of open country in the UK and they go in a hedge the side of the road.
You go to drive past and out they pop right in front of you.

Couldn't be the opposite side of the hedge could it... Laughing

Swore at mine after I refitted the pump and fuel tank only for it to blow a pipe off and dump diesel everywhere. Good news the local dealer has a pipe, bad news £100 Sad

Moving kit around to set up a new apiary:

This counts as off road right? Thus my decision to buy a Defender is totally justified Very Happy

(Cunningly angled to hide the pigeon poo bonnet decoration)

I think the bees will be happy here.

Apis = Latin for bee. Same principle as an aviary basically

Haven't had chance to do anything constructive to the car lately, but I did take the dog to a local beach for a walk this morning, and couldn't resist the chance of a quick photo:
