It's a bit off work but you can easily do it yourself.
Take the whole hub assy off:

And then you can easily change the seal.

I had to do a little more:

I covered it recently in my rolling restoration thread here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic28138-150.html

Please only use it as a "what it all looks like rough idea" rather than a definitive "how too guide" as yours being a later model will be subtlety different. (and its not meant to be a how to guide just a how I did it documentary)

As you are only doing the seal I would just take the brake caliper off and then unbolt the whole assembly from the axle and change the seal and then re fit, don't bother with any of the other bits if they don't need doing. - be careful it is very heavy!

What is the condition of your swivel balls? (if you don't mind me asking Whistle Embarassed Laughing )

If they need replacing now it the time to do it in which case get the full kit and go in the standard way stripping the whole lot off that end of the axle will be much better.

I would highly recommend using new bolts when doing so and new gasket. Which will be available from your main dealer for less than £10 -Only use genuine here

Stick some photos up when you do it Thumbs Up

I was quoted £195 for main dealer to do my swivel rebuild using parts I supplied they said was about 1.8 hours labor if that helps Thumbs Up Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

If the balls are in good nick and it is just the seal that is leaking, then there is a 'bodge' way of doing it.

Remove the old retainer plate and hang it back over the axle tube, then take the old seal out and cut it off. The spring can then be removed from the new seal and carefully seperated from itself to unloop it, then you cut the new seal squarely and slide it over the narrow part of the swivel ball. It then needs to be glued back together accurately using a decent glue. Then loop the spring round the ball and re-attach it to itself, and refit to the seal. Re-fit using a new retainer plate gasket (which will also have to be cut), ensuring that the bit you cut and glued goes at the top of the swivel ball.

If you are taking the balls off the axle anyway then it's worth doing it properly, but the above can save a lot of work if so inclined.
