Ignorance of the law is no excuse. If you can see clearly to the rear of whatever you are towing then you don't need extended mirrors. i.e. It's the same width or narrower than the towing vehicle. Last edited by Laurie on 11th Oct 2010 5:32pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Hi there!
Thanks for all you help but finally I decide to give up the auction. 29 GBP + post for each sound quite expensive. Thanks in advance I will see another solution. Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" ![]() Click image to enlarge |

The "wolf" XD longer mirror arm is part # RRC 8443. not sure how much is it from LR, prolly quite a bit, but it's the same arm used on some Leyland/DAF vans (like the Post Office use), so you may get one from a DAF dealer or breakers (same thing isn't it? ![]() |

Taken from the direct.gov.uk website
[quote]Fit towing mirrors if you need them If your caravan or trailer is wider than the narrowest part of the rear of the towing vehicle, you must by law fit towing mirrors. These mirrors must be E-marked (mirrors with this mark meet EU requirements).[quote] Thats ok then, because the trailer is the same width as the Defender. |
