The lift will be primarily to accommodate my 285/75R16s which I know will fit to standard suspension but to me doesn't leave much room for anything else. I do take it offroad but not through anything major, mostly greenlaning. Does anyone have an opinion on the 50mm spring spacers which of course will utilise the original springs and shocks but will provide 50mm of lift. Cheers guys.

Honest opinion...... Don't do it. The suspension I've had from terrafirma has been very poor quality. Leave it at standard height , your 285s will fit, or go 265. I hated every mile of driving mine while I had it lifted. Never again, but each to their own.

I was under that impression Andy. I wonder why they still sell them if they're that bad? OMEs are probably a better option but I'm going to run with the standard setup and see how it goes. Thanks.

I used to run on Bearmach Blue +2" springs and Procomp Shocks.
Was very comfortable when fully laden but the rest of the time was a bit crashy. Having said that in the months before I took it off it had settled down quite nicely so may have been a case of bedding the springs in a bit? I took them off in the end as the nature of my work changed and I no longer needed the lift. The rear springs need a bit of a repaint but the shocks and fronts are still in good used condition if your interested? Thanks Shaggydog. I'm going to give it a whirl on the standard ride height and see how it goes. What I would really like is just to lift the front by an inch or so to match the rear. I know it'll look odd if I load the back up but it doesn't happen very often. The rear height is fine for the 285s, it's just the front that could do with an inch. Any ideas?

If it doesn't already have them try fitting some spring isolators to the top. Won't quite be an inch but will make a bit of a difference and should give a (very) slightly quieter and smoother ride.

I fitted them top and bottom with the spring plates bolted to the bottom so they can't come off. Ray

Those are for the front to go around the shocker and you can get rear ones that are straight because the shock is not through the spring Ray

I have rear ones fitted as standard but the front ones didn't have any so this should allow me to refit my front ones
