I think the as10 had a setting that could be switched on to lock doors when you drove over 5 mph , could it be that ?
Guessing in would need to be plugged in to diagnostics to find out |

MY13 110 here and I can lock & unlock all doors if I use the button on the driver's door. The other door buttons just lock & unlock the individual door. |

neither did i! I need to do a test drive and confirm when it is locking. Is it possible the as10 is loose and this is a security feature? I didn't mount the as10, do you think the computer thinks it is being stolen?

Unlike the systems used on, say, the Disco 2, I don't think that the AS10 has any capability for speed locking and I don't see how this can be happening solely under AS10 control.
There is no speed transducer input into the AS10, so the unit cannot know how fast (or even if) the vehicle is moving. The EMS and the IPAC however do know if the vehicle is moving, and could - at least in theory - instruct the AS10 to lock the doors. I don't see why LR would invest in the development needed to make this happen at this stage in the product lifecycle however. The recent vehicles use a non-genuine AS10 and there are certain differences, but I don't think speed locking is one of them. |

I'm going to mount it properly and see if it keeps happening.

There have been issues reported on here of vehicles self-locking with the keys inside. What are the possible causes of this and i wonder if you have this rather than a drive away feature. Maybe driving away just creates the bump/rub/touch to lock the vehicle?

only guessing what the thing of them locking with keys inside could be
the drivers door c/l actuator is the firing one ( the one that giving signal to lock through as10 when using the key in lock ) could it be the jolt as door is closed makes the unit lock maybe if it was a bit worn/loose etc maybe if unit and rods in door was a be tight and not quite in full unlocked postion and same again when door is slammed it jolts the unit but if it only does it as you move off then not so sure does it always do it , say if you on smooth road and pull off gently ? |

I agree with Munch on the doors locking with key inside. I've only ever had the doors lock me out once and it was when I got out and shut the door from the outside. (Luckily I was at home with the spare key!) The doors have never locked themselves when I have been inside so I've put that instance down to me shutting the door too hard which has caused the lock to fire. Seems like the only sensible solution to me? Tom
