Just a thought with this, I've not had it happen to me......yet, but I almost got caught out with another vehicle in similar circumstances. The way the central locking worked on that vehicle, Shogun sorry...was if the doors were locked and then unlocked without the doors being opened then after about two minutes the doors would then automatically lock. The cause of my problem was a fault on the tailgate lock which didn't register the door opening.

I started with nothing and still have most of it left!

I think that the issues of the doors locking with the keys inside are exclusively caused by the switch on the driver's door lock actuator being faulty or maladjusted.

These incidents happens more frequently in icy conditions when it is likely that the temperature affects the free movement of the door lock components and holds the actuator near the lock/unlock threshold.

It is possible that the phantom speed locking phenomenon is caused by a faulty driver's door actuator switch triggering the lock signal - try disconnecting the harness from the driver's door and going for a drive.
