Now that is a neat and tidy solution to an age old issue 'How to lock the spare?' I manufactured a 3mm stainless plate to cover the nuts. Downside being it takes about 20 minutes with the correct tools to remove the spare. It is however another 'layer.'

My plan is to put a horizontal threaded pole through the middle, bolt in a bracket for a shovel and a padlock to finish.
Doubles as spare wheel lock as well then. But first need to fit a spare wheel carrier... |

Nice and simple piece of kit. Will probably buy one as the bike lock metal rope I currently wrap around the wheel and carrier looks a mess.

I've got a pretty good idea which is lockable with a padlock. All stainless steel and nearly universal fit.
If there is enough interest here we can produce it. WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |

Would be interested. Not keen on drilling through my spare wheel carrier. Can you make one in black to match my wheel? |

My intention would be the usual stainless or black versions, so black is no problem. WANTED:
