Simple answer no! Raised Air Intake or Snorkel may aid/increase airflow under certain conditions but will not 'be taken into account' by usual mapping, so it makes little or no difference to the end result! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Landy,
With the Safari Snorkel you do not need to move the aerial aparently! See here: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/snorkel-f...49071.html If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

no aerial issues with the safari
Apparently Safari are the only manufacturer that monitor airflow as part of their snorkel design Mike |

Mantec snork does not need ariel to be moved and was designed with Land Rover to be fitted to the Td5.

I bought a Safari - no regrets! If you're unsure here may be a good start to have a look for comparisons.... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic2105.html At the risk of antagonising Discocuzzy I'm going to post a picture....No wheel/tyre combo so I should be ok... Does give a good comparison view I think... Click image to enlarge The elephant trunk is mine and the trilby hat Fekete's. Hope this helps.
