Towed a very stuck Nissan Cabstar tipper out of a field. I now know that my diffloack linkage needs freeing up but managed without....used nore tow ropes to get far enough away to be oN firmer ground.
A job we gould have both done without but I enjoyed playing with my ropes and shackles (ooer ) |

Hi Brian
After seeing your Noldens and comparing them to Evo 2 lights fitted to a Jeep Florida I decided that the Noldens had a better spread and reach of light 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

Hi INVSBL, Yes, had the cage (SD from Defender Tuning) finally fitted last week. So far I had no troubles with the law but I will declare it as a roof rack system. Having the small cargo bars over the rear part should hopefully help. Regarding the internal bar I will fit some webbing and put it down as 2nd cargo barrier for the insurance. I want to have it engineered sooner than later. Not really the way to do it but was no longer willing to drive around with a cage. m |

Went through its MOT - no advisories - a result.
Might spoil it to some paint soon - it is currently a number of shades - grey primer, black primer, white and original Green. |

Finally had a free afternoon to finish some electrical work:
- Installed extra fuse box in the under-cubby storage safe along with a number of relays to switch extra electrical users. Initial trigger is taken from the auxiliary below the radio. - Installed 2 switches near the cup-holders in the cubby box: one to activate the front and rear cameras, and the other to switch on high beam of the Lazer RS4 lights. Cameras were initially switched on by the reverse light, but when maneuvering back and forth it is much nicer to have the image on all the time. Really easy to do now. - The Lazer lights are enclosed in a new Zunsport grille. I really like the looks of that setup and also the fact that nothing is protruding and the lights cannot be removed without also removing the complete grille. One drawback: fine-tuning the direction of the lights is not so easy - Installed and wired 3 switches in the under-cubby storage box. One is now used to fully switch off the Lazer RS4 lights (so also DRL is switched off/on). Other switches are already wired to relays for future users like rear working lights. - Also wired a double USB and extra auxiliary power socket from the fuse box. - Installed a heavy 5-core and a lighter 3-core cable from under the cubby box to the front bumper. For now it is used to power and switch the Lazer lights and a device to scare off some martens that are terrorizing our neighborhood (and already did some severe damage on 2 of our cars). |
