Black wolf, I just looked a the the puma 2.2 wiring diagrams in the link above, posted in another thread by Daniel. It shows the door switches switching the alarm unit, which switches the interior lights, so you are 100% correct, it is the off state leakage current of alarm unit output. Anyway, LEDs will not flatten the battery more than incandescent lights, as leakage is always there regardless of bulb type |

The fact that this happens tells you it's the 10AS:
Any sort of solid state switching will cause this, it's called leakage current or quiescent current, that is current in the off/inactive state. It really is nothing to worry about in this case. If you're trying to design something with a really low power consumption then it might be, for instance most voltage regulators will merrily munch a few mA all the time (see the Blue Sea USB sockets for instance) and if your total power budget is only a few mA continuous then you have to be aware of it. When I next have my interior light apart I'll measure it, but I would guess that the drain will be <1mA. |

I installed this, three years ago, on the back (in the front I have the roof console also with led) and is still working ...

Had the same problem... go buy some dimmable LED bulbs with built-in capacitor.
Works well since then. |

Here are a few pix of what's happening, taken in my truck when I fitted LED interior slabs.....
Pic 1. 12v, interior light fully on Pic 2. 5v at the time I took the pic, interior light fading down using PWM... Pic 3. Interior light off, but with about 1.7v flowing.. This is for the alarm to know if the bulb is shagged, and forms part of the alarm trigger circuit.. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge ... ,-------, .. Has anyone found LED bulbs that don't cause a glow and still save on the draw of the existing bulb?

Happens with mine. Even with LEDs fitted by the dealership. Did not at first but do now. Actually quite like it ... a bit like an airliner with the lights dimmed.
