They say they have replicated the error, and it momentarily cut power to the engine, possible on gear changes, and is the extra instrument (Scangauge to you and me) that is plugged into the OBD socket !! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

I find it hard to beleive that having it attached it can cause a O2 fault as im sure you do. I think its more of a coinsidance that the fault came back as the pulgged the tool in may be or its just not repeated its self yet without it plugged in ?
It can for sure be very hard and a pain in the rear to find the real and in some cases multiple source some times as can any electrical fault and one min its fine and the next its not, thats the problem with finding intermitant faults I suppose, but its easer to say we have not yet found the fault V its the scanguage I feel.

That said im sure they are doing their best to help so all is said without trying to offend them.

Thanks Pete, your input is of great value as normal Bow down

Well they say they have unpluged the scangauge and the cruise control throttle interface, and the fault has not reappeared in 80 miles of road test !!!

It is a tough problem with electrical faults especially that are intermittant, sometimes the car does need longer test drives but it then comes to a point where the workshop has to say its not come back on in X miles return the car to the customer.

The tough world of intermitant fault repairs Sad

Would you have a bill-of-materials that you used for the twin battery install. I have the Bluesea relay and fuse box and I'm trying to make sure I order all the rest of the bits in one go. What size cable did you use..?

Cheers

Simon

No worries, I've looked at Tim's kits so may go that way.

Did you put an isolator in the winch lines..? I have an Albright relay to isolate mine, but wondered if a mechanical isolator was a good idea too.

Cheers

Simon

Well in total, they did over 150 miles road test. during which they fitted a new 02 sensor, and disconnected the cruise and scangauge ??

Since done 60 odd miles without both, all good,, refitted the scanguage, and another 50/60 and still all good,, then refitted the cruise control, another 80/100 miles, with numerous stop/starts to cycle the system,, and still no light Exclamation so maybe the 02 sensor that it when in for as being the problem, has cured it ? California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1
