I would contact LR customer services. They have always been very good with my problems.
You may need to lay down the law with them and that you have bought a product that is unfit for purpose. You shouldn't expect that a these days a car can be produced that has a pond internally. I have one in mine and will get them to sort it when the weather picks up. Good luck. |

I'd ask the dealer to put in writing that they are unable to resolve this issue ......... then the fun begins!

Just out of interest, do you end up with a puddle on the floor matt, inline/in front of the throttle pedal?

Yep, I mentioned that when I spoke to them. I always get copies of warranty work and this will be no exception. Last edited by borderterrier on 20th Jan 2015 9:28pm. Edited 1 time in total |

The whole angled upright of the footwell is soaked, impossible to nail a puddle to any specific position mate. |

Hello there, I have the same in my 2014. Rusty water dripping from the tunnel side of the drivers footwell. Haven't had a chance to take it in yet. Doesn't look like much volume wise but leaves rusty trail on the rubber flooring, so easier to see than on carpet. Will try to get a photo uploaded at the weekend.

This was a jig wih water jets that can be angled and the water pressure adjusted. |

Ah, ok, mine would leak down the r/h side of the bulkhead, drop out of the plastic above the door check strap, fill the alloy check strap, pool up then when full , it would run out and form a big puddle on the matt.
Having removed the windscreen ( dummy hinge) brackets, cleaned them up, made new gaskets, sealed etc, I was supremely peed off to find it had no effect. After a heavy shower, by chance , whilst poking about , I lifted the corner of the windscreen seal, and It quite literally ran out from that point. It would appear the seal, was actually holding water , it would gather at that point as I park on a slight angle, it would fill up and then run through, under the glass and leak into the car. I put a small piece of tie wrap up under that corner, to lift the feather edge of the rubber seal away from the panel, and it has been bone dry ever since. Maybe after another heavy shower, it might be worth just lifting the bottom edge of the seal up and seeing if anything runs out. Cheers, Nick. "Procrastination is the thief of time" |

My last 90!had a terrible leak. Smashed the windscreen, had a new one fitted and sealed resulted in no leak. My local dealer had had the roof off and had tried but in the end auto windscreens fixed the problem.

Just what is the meaning of under warranty if they try and make you collect the vehicle unfixed? I wasn't aware of a time limit - imagine if this applied to an oil leak or any other repair!
I'd be asking the dealer politely to escalate to LR direct. |
