Haven't been on here in ages but have done a fair bit to the chariot in the past few months so time for an update. This is going to be a long one!
Chucked a Runva 11XP winch on it. Click image to enlarge Pulled the winch gearbox apart to grease it up before fitting Click image to enlarge Chucked an 80 channel UHF in it. went with a UNIDEN UH8080NB with Police, Fire and Ambulance channels preprogrammed Click image to enlarge Replaced the centre silencer with a Terrafirma unit Click image to enlarge And fitted a Scangauge Click image to enlarge Then took it down to Sundown National Park for a couple of days of fun. taking the unmaintained track to get into Sundown it takes around 3 and a half hours to do 17km. Awesome fun. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge the side steps copped a bit of a hiding on this trip, will get rocksliders for it one day Click image to enlarge Couple of videos of it in action http://youtu.be/o5gqx5Z7_xw http://youtu.be/fl-Uh-FxWr4 http://youtu.be/mZZawe764Ho Then I got a Safari snorkel for Christmas Click image to enlarge I reckon I found the limits of the factory All Terrains so couple of days ago on went a set of Muddies. 285 75r16 Federal Couragia MT's on 16x8 Dynamic zero offset rims. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And thats where its at at the moment. Next on the list is fit the APT front and rear diff guards I got for christmas and that will probably be it for a while. Maybe a couple of inches of lift some time down the track. Thanks for sharing. I've seen this on AULRO, right? Though not been on for a while, I'll have to catch up.

As an occasional visitor, I won't be back on there. I'm not saying it's wrong, but if 6000 regular people subscribe, that's $9,000 a month for the host
Martin (Founder of this site) could be ordering another new Defender |

Quick mud run this morning, tyres performed exceptionally well. Still at road pressures.

Haven't been on here in a while. Quite a bit has happened over the last 6 months.
49" Led light bar on the roof rack and a couple of LED work lights Blacked out the bonnet badges, grille and headlight surrounds with plasti-dip Then the side steps were looking a bit sad (Drivers side was folded up nearly touching the sill) so I built a set of sill replacement sliders Then Terrafirma +2" prosports, APT shock turrets, Dobinson coils and TomWoods double cardin front prop shaft. Also did the holey bush mod to the front radius arms while I was in there. Replaced the rear sliding windows with aluminium gullwings. Then came APT front and rear diff guards Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge and that brings this thread up to date, this is how it sits now Front end dislocated Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

So a bit has happened to this lately, replaced the tired trailing arm bushes
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And mounted a couple off USB charge outlets into a switch blank, wired to accessory power. Click image to enlarge Rear crossmember was looking a bit sad so it got a tidy up Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And won an APT fuel tank guard about a week ago, picked it up yesterday. The stock fuel tank guard and plastic tank already carry a few scars so one of these was always on the list. Now just need the weather to clear up to fit it up. 6mm 5005 aluminium, this is a staunch bit of gear! X2 that is. I actually was on aulro.com years before I even had heard of def2.net, aulro.com actually contributed to me buying the SVX, but when it became payable, I happily left it to others. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
