Just use a half inch ratchet with extension. No socket needed

Thanks mk1collector.
I found out via a post on Landrovernet.com from the owner of a 2006 Kalahari 300tdi that my drain plug could be a 3/8inch square. That would match my impression of an almost 10mm square. So, no socket indeed, I just need to find a 3/8 ratchet! |

you may find its a 8mm square as used on Renault sump plugs looks like a 3/8 drive square until you try and get a ratchet to fit it!!!!

They're 3/8" drive plugs.
