Removed the Motolita and put the original steering wheel back in the 130.
Car will be off to the dealer once more in a couple of weeks for it's maintenance and the dealer is trying to get someone from Land Rover over to fix the indicator stalk problems I'm having since new. Almost 2 years now... Really hoping they will fix it for once and for all as I'm getting fed up with it. No fun driving through cities like Amsterdam with cyclists not knowing which direction I'm heading. |

Gave mine a bit of a wash after all the wind we had last night. Loads of leaves and bits of tree all over it

Picked Rocky up from Harrwoods Pullborough after having turbo hose recall done and handed back the keys to the RRSoprt we've had while they sorted it and did its first MOT which went without a hitch
Glad to have the DC back Can't count the amount of times I've been thinking I'm just going to pop outside to have a fiddle and play and he's not been there Oh and just as they were going to hand it back the driver came in and said it hadn't been cleaned would I like it done so I said yes if it's no trouble ! To which he said no problem not been cleaned since the Def 2 trip to the plains He said it would be about 20 mins it took 1 hr but the have done a cracking job Bet the car wash bloke thought he'd got away with not doing it So we did have plenty of time to look round a good selection of LR cars including a bowler 90 It's good to be back from the dark side DC110 -2012 Black with black hood and black x-tech FFRR 4.2 vogue Renault traffic auto PT crusier convertible Laika x700 Motorhome |

Replaced both wiper wheelboxes and the drive cable. Not a nice job on the Puma due to the one piece dash and the need to get behind the demister ducting - it's a dash out job!
4 hours start to finish, including some other inside-the-dash jobs whilst access was possible. |

4 hours? That's good going. Just finished putting mine back together having had one wheel box seize Christmas Eve. It worked one second then seized solid the next. The other was about to go too. Apart from the lack of grease in them they were full of sanded down paint from when it had warranty work done. Hunters of Chester and their body shop!!
For anyone that has had paintwork done around the windscreen under warranty, it would pay to pull the whole dash out to see whether they cleaned all the mess up. If not, it will be in the wheelboxes, heater ducts, electrics, everywhere, etc, .... |

I've had rather too much practice taking the dash out, and after a bit of practice it can be done quite quickly. Like yours, the symptoms mine were giving were irregular swept arcs and the n/s wiper occasionally just locking up. |

Nothing in the Defender today as it rains and that becomes a salty mix on the roads now, but I did something for the Defender today.... The quarterly map update for the Garmins, first for the original Nüvi 750 which was standard Land Rover equipment for the SVX, and second for the Nüvi 770 which I bought later for the SVX in order to have bluetooth for the phone....
