No it was acid etch primer and spray on hammer it's actually, still looks good so far so happy with it Cheers, David

Yeah, indeed. Great car on the road but hen the price is huge for what it is really, so should be expected. Nothing like the Range Rover but more of a discovery type feel I guess.
Off road it's held back by it's tires and weight but still fairly capable, although we've only had mud to test it on. It's made me realise just how capable a car a defender is when on decent tyres and when you start to learn how to drive it off road. Still a lot to learn but every time I go off road I get a bit better and I can now often get out of situations i wouldn't have a year or so ago.
