Fitted this morning. Fiddly but otherwise easy enough with the turbo side being the harder to get to. Small hands would help a lot
Interesting fact I discovered by accident. The driver's side (turbo) hose also fits on the passenger side without any issue. In the picture the driver's side hose is either of the bottom 2 and the passenger's side is either of the top ones. So as far as spares go you really only need to carry one intercooler hose, the driver's side one. The XDB's do have better clearance and rigidity. They are soft but not as soft as the OEM by a long way and also they don't visibly expand like the OEM ones do. Haven't gone for a drive yet but I expect it will improve things and it has as the acceleration is smoother. One more rubbing point for everyone to check is where the turbo hose comes in to the intercooler on the driver's side. The A/C line there is sleeved in neoprene but is still hard against the hose. The wear mark is visible directly behind the right hand hose clamp's screw on the bottom hose in the image. Not to sure what to do to correct this yet as it's almost impossible to move anything. Click image to enlarge A more detailed shot of the wear mark. It is clearly visible in this crop of the image. It is to the lower left of the writing stamped on the hose. This wear is after about 10,000km as the hose was replaced when it wore through on the steering last year. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |
