If price is an issue, how about modulars and 255/85 x 16 Cooper STs

These are in gunmetal rather than black, £495 for 4 from Silverline last month, although I see they have gone up to £545 now

Good price when you consider Mach 5s and boots will cost you two and a half times that! Zu's not much cheaper either!
Depends on your bling factor and budget! Whistle

I'm after either the ZU or the mach 5's because I like the look of the wheels.
I'm not to worried about the cost because it would annoy me to much if they didn't give the look I'm after and I wanna get the right size tyre that will fit and be suitable for my needs. I know a lot of people on here have started going for the 285's or the 255's for the larger diameter but I do like the look of a landy with massive tyres but don't want to have to modify much to fit the tyres.

Madcow

Are you sitting on standard shocks or +2"?

I looked at the Blindo's but I don't like how the centres come so far out so they'll be prone to damage where as the rest all have the metal work safely tucked away.

All bog standard, only clearance issue is the rear tyres just clip the outside crners of the eyebrows but as they are flexible it doesn't seem to make any difference (paint is still intact). If they were black, I would have just trimmed them but it wouldn't look so pretty with the silver paint.

Steering is fine due to the extra 20mm of offset you get with the modulars.

Did a 2" lift on a Disco once and never liked the way it handled afterwards.

I must say I liked the idea of Zus but I paid £124.75 per wheel/tyre, with Zus at £125 each for just the wheel, It was an easy decision to make... and I like the look of modulars too, this is third vehicle that I've fitted them to MAD COW

Fekete's on 10 X 15 Modulars with a 2" lift.....

You could theoretically go down a similar route as myself to get a new set of Mach 5s....

As money is no object....Just had a look at Devon 4 X 4....

They have three 10 X 16 Mach 5s in black and two in plain silver....You could get the silver one(s) recoated black by them and have a complete set the same.....Still reckon you'll be very hard pushed to find a new set available anywhere else! They may not be the size you wish (but they are the same width as mine and Feketes wheels if you want go see in the galleries)....Beggars can't be choosers and as mentioned before Mach 5s are like rocking horse poo....rare availability....Just an idea!!!! By remaining on 16" wheels there would be no calculations involved if you wished to retain original rolling radius but I personally wouldn't go bigger than 265 due to the offset of the Mach 5s and 'arch accommodation' and articulation (all factors to consider). A decent tyre supplier could always fit one first to see how it would suit for you dependant on their stock!

I have a 90XS with 'Heavy duty' standard suspension my wheels do not foul at all.

16" ZU's fitted with 265*75*16 BFG AT's.

No mods as the extra 11mm offset counteracts the extra tyre width and the tyres do not touch on full lock.

One of my terrafirma wheels has a huge gash where a rock impacted. Seems to be quite soft alloy. ZU's may be more robust but cannot comment. I do like the TF wheels though Thumbs Up 59 2.4 110 XS Utility

Pizza Base!

Personally I prefer 'deep dish' with a 'stuffed crust' rather than 'thin and crispy' or Ice Cream Van stop me and buy one - like!

Rolling with laughter

On appearance ZUs and Mach 5s are very similar or rather they can be dependant on width....

Below is another picture of a ZU, the spokes are obviously not that far tucked away from harms way....in comparison to the Mach 5s above I'd say....

Whatever you decide black wheels are gonna look cool on your truck for sure! Thumbs Up
