If it's a Td5, it's your MAF sensor that is knackered.

Hi
@ munch, no I switch it off. @ landy andy, yeah I did wonder, I just thought there would be a greater drop in performance. If I disconnect it and run it am I right in thinking performance will be better because the ecu will use default values rather than relying on a knackered maf ? Yes,if you disconnect the MAF the ECU will use same default setting. Be careful to tuck the connection out of the of the exhaust or turbo as it gets hot.
Mine did the same. Disconnected the MAF sensor and couldn't believe the difference. A new sensor made it even better. |

Alive do uprated ones, and cheaper than main dealer , if you do want main dealer though, talk to Dan at Duckworth's.

Cheers men
Disconnected maf today, went better so I got a genuine/vdo seimens one for £64. Loads better now The one I took off was a cheapo with no name so I guess thats why it went bad. Thanks again 2003 Td5 90 2013 sport hse 2012 700 raptor quad 2012 siromer 4x4 tractor |

Good news Nick, glad you've sorted it...
And relatively simply and easily too... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Isn't it nice when it's simple, and relatively cheap.
